UV Transmission in Laminated glass: Effects on Plant Growth and Development
When glass is laminated for safety reasons, it usually blocks UV radiation partially or even completely when UV blocking materials are used. In the last decade, there has been an increasing interest in interlayers with high UV transmission, especially ...

Enhancement of interlayer exchange in an ultrathin two-dimensional magnet [PDF]
Following the recent isolation of monolayer CrI3, many more two-dimensional van der Waals magnetic materials have been isolated. Their incorporation in van der Waals heterostructures offers a new platform for spintronics proximity magnetism and quantum ...

Intercalation and calcination as methods to reduce expansive soil properties
The expansive ability of soil causes a series of problems in various sectors. The dominance of smectite clay minerals significantly affects expansive ability because they have an unstable interlayer structure.

An anomalous interlayer exciton in MoS2 [PDF]
AbstractThe few layer transition metal dichalcogenides are two dimensional materials that have an intrinsic gap of the order of ≈2 eV. The reduced screening in two dimensions implies a rich excitonic physics and, as a consequence, many potential applications in the field of opto-electronics.

Interlayer coherence in superconductor bilayers
We investigate the possibility and implications of interlayer coherence in electrically isolated superconducting bilayers. We find that in a mean-field approximation bilayers can have superconducting and excitonic order simultaneously if repulsive interactions between layers are sufficiently strong.

High Flux Nanofiltration Membranes with Double-Walled Carbon Nanotube (DWCNT) as the Interlayer
Nanofiltration (NF) membranes with a high permeability and rejection are of great interest in desalination, separation and purification. However, how to improve the permeation and separation performance still poses a great challenge in the preparation of

Interlayer Exciton Diode and Transistor
Controlling the flow of charge neutral interlayer exciton (IX) quasiparticles can potentially lead to low loss excitonic circuits. Here, we report unidirectional transport of IXs along nanoscale electrostatically defined channels in an MoSe$_2$-WSe$_2$ heterostructure.

Effects of GDC interlayer on performance of low-temperature SOFCs [PDF]
To bridge the sintering temperature gap between the electrolyte and the cathode, low-temperature anode supported solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) with various thickness of electrolyte interlayer were fabricated and investigated.
