Interleaved ZVS Converter With Ripple-Current Cancellation

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2008
In this paper, an interleaved soft-switching converter with ripple-current cancellation is presented to achieve zero- voltage-switching (ZVS) turn-on and load current sharing. In order to achieve ZVS turn-on, an active snubber is connected in parallel with the primary winding of the transformer.

A simple and efficient implemantation of interleaved boost converter

2011 6th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications, 2011
Recently, DC-DC boost converters are usually required in many applications which has low output voltage, such as renewable energy sources. The interleaved boost converters consists of several identical boost converters connected in parallel and controlled by the interleaved method which has the same switching frequency and phase shift.

Interleaved soft-switching multilevel boost converter

IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013
Multilevel DC-DC boost converter which consists of an inductor based boost circuit and a switched capacitor circuit has high voltage gain and flexible output voltage. It is suitable for a low voltage power source such as fuel cells. However, in high switching frequency, multilevel DC-DC boost converter's power conversion efficiency is reduced by ...

Time-interleaved analog-to-digital converters

2009
This thesis describes the feasibility of an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a sample-rate of 1-2 GS/s, a resolution of 8-10 bits, and a state-of-the-art power efficiency of less than 1 pJ/conversion step. The time-interleaved architecture exploits parallelism to increase the sample-rate while maintaining good power efficiency, and therefore it ...

Comprehensive analysis of inductors for an interleaved buck converter

2012 15th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (EPE/PEMC), 2012
Interleaved DC-DC buck converters are used in medium to high power applications with their advantages such as low electromagnetic interference and output voltage ripples. Although, discrete core inductors can be used, coupled inductors which use the same magnetic core can be used to obtain optimum design such as volume, cost and efficiency in ...

Mismatch effects in time-interleaved oversampling converters

Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems - ISCAS '94, 2002
Recently, a new architecture was proposed which utilizes the concept of time-interleaving in oversampling converters. Using this architecture, one is theoretically able to achieve higher resolutions by using an array of interconnected modulators without increasing the oversampling ratio or order of the modulators. Alternatively, the same resolution can

Interleaved zero current transition buck converter

Twentieth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2005. APEC 2005., 2005
This paper introduces interleaved zero current transition (ZCT) converters where two sets of switches are operating out of phase and share the load power equally. Turn-on transitions at zero current and a significant reduction of the losses associated with diode reverse recovery are accomplished through addition of two small inductors.

Time-interleaved converters

2016
The time-interleaved (TI) architecture is an attractive choice when achieving the desired sampling rate is not possible or efficient with a single ADC. Time-interleaved ADCs were first introduced in 1980 by Black and Hodges [1]. In principle, they enable high sampling rates by using multiple ADC channels in parallel.

Variable-angle interleaved DC-DC converters

IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016
The use of interleaved power converters is a mature solution for multiple applications where the power is shared between several power converters. The interleaving method is used in order to improve the quality of the total output current. However, the performance of the complete power system is poor if an unbalanced operation is present in each power ...

Capacitor Ripple Current in an Interleaved PFC Converter

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2008
To achieve high-power density in power supplies, it is desirable to minimize the physical size of the energy storage capacitor. The capacitance is determined by the energy storage requirement for line outage ride-through and also the ripple current handling capability of the capacitor.
