DHARANI: A 3D Developing Human‐Brain Atlas Resource to Advance Neuroscience Internationally Integrated Multimodal Imaging and High‐Resolution Histology of the Second Trimester

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Neurology, Volume 533, Issue 2, February 2025.
ABSTRACT We introduce DHARANI, the first online platform with three‐dimensional (3D) histological reconstructions of the developing human brain from 14 to 24 gestational weeks (GW) across the five fetal brains. DHARANI features 5132 Nissl, hematoxylin and eosin stained, 20 µm coronal and sagittal sections, postmortem MRI, and a neuroanatomical atlas ...

Subversion and Affective Intermediality in Jean-Luc Godard’s 'Adieu au langage' (2014)

open access: yesSyn-Thèses
It is said that cinematic intermediality is linked to multisensoriality and the synesthetic experience of the viewer. In fact, Pethö asserts that even films which maintain the illusion of reality can be highly intermedial and through film, the real world

RHIZOME AND DISCOURSE OF INTERMEDIALITY

open access: yesRussian journal of linguistics: Vestnik RUDN, 2017
Rhizomaticity is a strategy and a regularity of text creation in a lot of modern commu-nicative discourse practices. What remains urgent is the problem of the systematic interdisciplinary de-scription of texts whose structure and language qualities are ...

The Materialisation of “torrential languages” within the Avant-Garde: Mina Loy, James Joyce, and Aesthetic Modernism

open access: yesPrague Journal of English Studies, 2022
Modernist literature was obsessed with a metaphysical problem regarding the word. A series of formal and material experiments started to address the word’s self-referentiality and aesthetic autonomy, against the backdrop of a new sociocultural milieu in ...

ConAn: Measuring and Evaluating User Confidence in Visual Data Analysis Under Uncertainty

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, Volume 44, Issue 1, February 2025.
We propose a quantitative approach to measure user confidence by introducing a set of network metrics to analyse a provenance graph of user interaction. Our results indicate that our proposed metrics and the provenance network representation support a better evaluation of user confidence and effective development of guidance in VA.

Dante intermédial : une introduction

open access: yesBetween, 2020
Expressions like ‘intermedial Dante’, ‘Dante and intermediality’ or ‘Dante’s reception across media’ open up a field so immensely vast that one cannot even begin to describe it within the limits of a journal article.

Feasibility and Safety of the C1 “Zero Angle” Screw: A Novel “In–Out–In” Technique for Atlantoaxial Dislocation

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 2, Page 437-445, February 2025.
The C1ZAS with “in–out–in” technique is presented as an alternative to C1 PS in cases of AAD with a trajectory parallel to the sagittal plane. This method involves penetrating the recess of the atlas to achieve tricortical or quadricortical purchase for rigid fixation while minimizing the risk of injury to the V3 segment of the VA.

Molecular Lineages and Spatial Distributions of Subplate Neurons in the Human Fetal Cerebral Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 47, December 18, 2024.
This study applies spatial transcriptomics and single‐cell RNA sequencing to study molecular heterogeneity of subplate neurons (SPNs) in human fetal brains from gestational week 10 to 25. Human‐specific and extracellular matrices (ECM) genes are found to maintain SPN population. Enriched ECM gene expressions in the frontal lobe suggest a potential role
