Carotid Artery Wall Alterations as Intermediate End Points
Carotid artery wall alterations can now be measured in a quantitative, well reproducible way by B-mode ultrasound. The thickness of the intima-media complex (IMT) is commonly measured at three levels along the carotid tree. Well standardized protocols to use in randomized prospective trials are available.

ABSTRACT Background This study investigated how neighborhood‐level social determinants of health (SDOH), including redlining and neurological risk, interact to influence cognitive outcomes in children treated for brain tumors (CTBT). Methods A retrospective chart review of 161 CTBT aged 5–17 was conducted.

Heat conductivity in the presence of a quantized degree of freedom
We propose a model with a quantized degree of freedom to study the heat transport in quasi-one dimensional system. Our simulations reveal three distinct temperature regimes.

ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Factorization and Topological States in $c=1$ Matter Coupled to 2-D Gravity
Factorization of the $N$-point amplitudes in two-dimensional $c=1$ quantum gravity is understood in terms of short-distance singularities arising from the operator product expansion of vertex operators after the Liouville zero mode integration.

ABSTRACT Immune effector cell‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis‐like syndrome (IEC‐HS) is a life‐threatening hyperinflammatory toxicity distinct from cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity following chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapy. In a single‐institution retrospective cohort of pediatric and young adult patients

ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.
