Intermetallic Nanocrystals: Syntheses and Catalytic Applications [PDF]
At the forefront of nanochemistry, there exists a research endeavor centered around intermetallic nanocrystals, which are unique in terms of long-range atomic ordering, well-defined stoichiometry, and controlled crystal structure. In contrast to alloy nanocrystals with no atomic ordering, it has been challenging to synthesize intermetallic nanocrystals

Electronic tuneability of a structurally rigid surface intermetallic and Kondo lattice: CePt$_5$ / Pt(111) [PDF]
We present an extensive study of structure, composition, electronic and magnetic properties of Ce--Pt surface intermetallic phases on Pt(111) as a function of their thickness. The sequence of structural phases appearing in low energy electron diffraction (LEED) may invariably be attributed to a single underlying intermetallic atomic lattice.

Quasi-one-dimensional magnons in an intermetallic marcasite [PDF]
We present inelastic neutron scattering measurements and first principles calculations examining the intermetallic marcasite CrSb2. The observed spin wave dispersion implies that the magnetic interactions are strongly one-dimensional with antiferromagnetic chains parallel to the crystalline c-axis.

The influence of Iron and Aluminium Powder Pressing on the Course of Shrinkage and Properties of the Fe40Al Phase Obtained by Reaction Sintering [PDF]
The effect of the compaction rate on the structure, microstructure and properties of Fe-Al sinters obtained during the SHS reaction is presented in this paper. It was found that increasing the uniaxial pressing pressure led to the increase of the contact
