This work demonstrates fluidic self‐assembly and self‐alignment of flip‐chips using a magnetic field for agitation and orientation. Pb‐free solder bumps with tailored transformation imprinted melting points enable selective capturing on low‐melting solder in water. After capturing, final alignment is achieved through magnetic forces.

Thermoelectricity of EuCu{2}(Ge{1-x}Si{x}){2} intermetallics [PDF]
The evolution of the thermopower EuCu{2}(Ge{1-x}Si{x}){2} intermetallics, which is induced by the Si-Ge substitution, is explained by the Kondo scattering of conduction electrons on the Eu ions which fluctuate between the magnetic 2+ and non-magnetic 3+ Hund's rule configurations. The Si-Ge substitution is equivalent to chemical pressure which modifies

This study compares the electrochemical performance of high‐entropy alloys (HEA) and oxides (HEO) as supercapacitor electrodes. HEO demonstrates superior energy and power density due to its capacitive behavior and surface redox reactions, while HEA relies on diffusion‐controlled processes.

Strain localization along phase or grain boundaries leads to crack initiation typical of alloys. In multi‐principal element alloys, the enamel‐like microstructure is stabilized by phase boundaries. This facilitates trans‐phase migration of semi‐atomic surfaces and provides sufficient plastic space for dislocation‐mediated deformation.

UV‐induced degradation of high‐efficiency silicon PV modules with different cell architectures
The use of UV‐pass encapsulants in PV modules is becoming a popular option to capture ~1% light gain; however, this makes the cells more susceptible to ultraviolet‐induced degradation. In this study, modern crystalline‐silicon PV technologies including HJ, IBC, PERT, and PERC cells have shown greater power degradation when exposed to UV as compared ...
