Reactive Nanoparticle Composed Bilayers: An Alternate Route Toward the Production of Pt/Al Nanofoils
Spark ablation‐assisted gas phase electrodeposition is an alternate route toward Pt/Al self‐propagation reactive system synthesis. Pt film morphology‐dependent reaction kinetics is a significant advantage. Low spark power and gas flow rate produce porous films and slow speeds, while high power and flow rate give three orders of magnitude faster ...

Configuring a Liquid State High‐Entropy Metal Alloy Electrocatalyst
A liquid‐state high‐entropy metal alloy is developed to overcome key kinetic bottlenecks in ammonia electrosynthesis from nitrate. Atomically dispersed active sites and a dynamic hydrogen‐shuttling mechanism enable barrier‐free deoxygenation and hydrogenation. Guided by molecular dynamics, design of experiments, and density functional theory, the alloy

Corrosion Behavior of Additively Manufactured Steels: A Comprehensive Review
This review explores the corrosion behavior of various steel types, including austenitic, martensitic, duplex, low‐alloy, and maraging steels, produced via additive manufacturing (AM). It discusses how AM impacts material properties, such as grain structure and the formation of defects like porosity, and highlights the importance of optimizing process ...

Joining Stainless Steel with a Novel Fe‐Based Amorphous Brazing Foil
A newly developed flexible Fe‐based foil is to be used in the field of brazing to minimize the use of Ni in brazing alloys. The substitution of Ni will result in ecological, economic, and health benefits. Investigations of the brazing properties have shown that the newly developed Fe‐based foil can cope with a conventional Ni‐based brazing alloy.

Photoemission of intermetallics
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1987Abstract Photoemission and spin-resolved threshold photoemission data on magnetic intermetallic compounds as e.g., MnP and NiMnSb are reviewed. New data on PtMnSb(100) are presented and discussed in terms of a calculated band structure. Recent spin- and angle-resolved photoemission data on monolayer films of Gd on Fe(100) have allowed to test the ...
