Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...

Ferroelectric Catalysts in the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction: A Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This perspective summarizes recent advances in ferroelectric (FE) catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). It first introduces HER fundamentals and FE mechanisms, then classifies FE catalysts into single‐phase, single‐atom‐modified, heterostructured, and other engineered types, with representative examples.

Chemical Compatibility of High Temperature Intermetallic Compounds with Various Potential Reinforcements

open access: yes, 1990
The chemical compatibility between five high temperature intermetallic compounds and six potential reinforcements are investigated. Diffusion couples are prepared by vacuum hot pressing. The most promising reinforcements or coating for each intermetallic

Learning Work Function via Implicit Reasoning on Electrostatic Potential Landscapes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
StructPot‐CLR establishes a cross‐modal contrastive learning framework that aligns the crystal structures of 2D materials with plane‐averaged electrostatic potential landscapes for physically informed work‐function prediction. The model achieves an MAE of 0.265 eV and an R2 of 0.902 on the held‐out test set while accurately preserving key morphological

Magneto-volume effects of Ce intermetallic compounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We investigated the magneto-volume effects of Ce intermetallic compounds where we used the extended Suhl-Nagaoka method. We find that the temperature dependence of the thermal expansion coefficient has the anomaly at the Kondo temperature.

ZrCo3B2 and HfCo3B2 Electrodes Go on Stage for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The intermetallic compounds ZrCo3B2 and HfCo3B2 with distinctive chemical bonding features are excellent OER precursors, restructuring into OER‐active electrocatalysts delivering significantly high OER activities compared to the elemental Co, which is obvious from their lower onset potentials and increased obtained current densities.

Emergent Magnetism, Heavy Electrons, and Pressure‐Induced Reentrant Superconductivity in the Iron Substituted 4d Transition‐Metal Sulfides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work illustrates that magnetic Fe substitution enables systematic modulation of physical properties of the putative unconventional superconductor Rh17S15. Iron doping uncovers delicate competition between weak ferromagnetism, spin‐glass states, heavy‐fermion signatures, and superconductivity.

Stress relief treatment of aluminum/magnesium laminates fabricated by roll bonding technique

open access: yesHeliyon
Roll bonding of aluminum/magnesium laminates combines the good corrosion resistance of aluminum alloys with the beneficial mechanical properties of magnesium alloys. We studied the microstructure of aluminum Al-1051/AZ31 magnesium laminates fabricated by

A Superstrong and Ultratough Stretchable Electronic Conductor With Ultradurable Strain‐Insensitive Electromechanical Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a superstrong, ultratough, and fatigue‐resistant stretchable electronic conductor (SEC) integrating a viscoplastic quasi‐solid LM‐Ag alloy with a supramolecular elastomer. Unlike conventional LM, the alloy exhibits thixotropic flow, reduced surface tension, and enhanced interfacial interactions with the elastomer.
