Gold‐Aluminium Intermetallic Compound Formation [PDF]

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 1980
During investigations of failure mechanisms and failure avoidance we have studied the kinetics and the mechanisms responsible for the growth of the Au‐Al compounds. Au4Al, Au5Al2, Au2Al, AuAl, AuAl2 have been observed and the growth kinetics of the Au2Al, AuAl, AuAl2 follow a (time)1/2 dependence.

Investigation on some factors affecting crack formation in high resistance aluminum alloys [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Aluminum alloys having good mechanical properties are Al-Zn-Mg alloys (7xxx) and Al-Cu-Li alloys (Weldalite®). These alloys may be subjected to stress corrosion cracking.
