International Adaptation Funding
2012Supporting adaptation to climate change in poor vulnerable countries is an ethical and legal obligation that arises from the very uneven distribution of responsibility for and vulnerability to climate change. Fuzzy adaptive internal model control
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2000In this paper, a fuzzy adaptive internal model controller (FAIMC) for open-loop stable plants is presented. The control scheme consists of two parts: a fuzzy dynamic model and a model-based fuzzy controller. A fuzzy dynamic model, which serves as the internal model of the FAIMC is identified online by using the input and output measurement of the plant.

Internal Model Adaptive Control Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1990Abstract This paper gives a description of an internal model adaptive control system. Some performance robustness properties of non-adaptive internal model control system against modelling error and load disturbances are presented; these properties may be important for the adaptive control scheme.

Adaptation as genetic internalization
Behavioral and Brain Sciences, 2001In the course of evolution organisms change both their morphology and their physiology in response to ever-changing environmental selection pressures. This process of adaptation leads to an “internalization,” in the sense that external regularities are in some way “imitated” by the living system.

International networks as complex adaptive systems
MERCATI & COMPETITIVITÀ, 2016This conceptual work is a part of the research project about the agents’ organizational behavior toward the internal and external relationships of international networks. The paper states that a framework based on the Complex Adaptive System approach (CAS) could stimulate the agents within international networks - public or private - toward adaptable ...

Immediate Effect of Internal Reward on Visual Adaptation
Psychological Science, 2013In the past decade, there has been an increasing interest in the effects of rewards on visual perception. Exogenous rewards have been shown to increase visual sensitivity and to affect attentional selection. Human beings, however, also feel rewarded by the correct execution of a task.

On the adaptation of the firm to the international business environment [PDF]
This paper advances on the importance of the adaptation of the firm to the International Business Environment (IBE). The IBE is a distinguishing factor in international business studies and the firm’s adaptation to the environment has been presented as a basic survival strategy. We argue that adaptation is indeed a dynamic and largely internally driven
