Angular momentum transport efficiency in post-main sequence low-mass stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Context. Using asteroseismic techniques, it has recently become possible to probe the internal rotation profile of low-mass (~1.1-1.5 Msun) subgiant and red giant stars.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Current conservation, screening and the magnetic moment of the $\Delta$ resonance. -- 1. Formulation without quark degrees of freedom

open access: yes, 2008
The pion-nucleon bremsstrahlung $\pi+N\Longrightarrow\gamma'+\pi'+N'$ is studied in a new form of current conservation. According to this condition, the internal and external particle radiation parts of the $\pi N$ radiation amplitude have opposite signs,

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Does Intraoral Scanning at the Subgingival Finish Line Affect the Accuracy of Interim Crowns?

open access: yesJournal of Functional Biomaterials
This in vitro study evaluated the internal surface trueness and the marginal and internal fit of interim crowns fabricated from intraoral scanner (IOS; i500, MEDIT, Seoul, Republic of Korea) data, considering variations in subgingival finish line depth ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
