Stabilizing Cationic Palladium Single‐Atom Sites on Heteroatom‐Doped Carbon for Selective Hydrogen Peroxide Electrosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this research, it is demonstrated that dual nitrogen and sulfur doping in hollow carbon spheres creates a tunable coordination environment that stabilizes cationic Pd single atoms as robust organometallic complexes, enabling high selectivity and stability for electrochemical hydrogen peroxide production under harsh acidic and peroxide‐rich ...

CFD Analysis of Water Solitary Wave Reflection

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering Research, 2011
A new numerical wave generation method is used to investigate the head-on collision of two solitary waves. The reflection at vertical wall of a solitary wave is also presented.

Impact of Surface Functionalization on NV Quantum Properties: Implications for Biosensing with Fluorescent Nanodiamonds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorescent nanodiamonds (fNDs) have emerged as an invaluable quantum sensing platform for biological and biochemical systems. This paper investigates the influence of common surface functionalization strategies for bioconjugation on the quantum properties of nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers in nanodiamonds.

Classification of internal waves shoaling over slope-shelf topography

open access: yesRussian Journal of Earth Sciences, 2020
The shoaling of an internal solitary waves of depression in two layer fluid with a idealized slope-shelf topography is studied to classify the regimes of shoaling.

Large Amplitude Internal Solitary Waves due to Solitary Resonance

open access: yesJournal of Japan Society of Civil Engineers, Ser. B2 (Coastal Engineering), 2011
To clarify the resonance of fully-nonlinear internal solitary waves which is one of the reasons for the occurrence of large amplitude internal waves, fully-nonlinear and strongly-dispersive internal wave equation model was applied, which attempted to investigate interaction of internal solitary waves in a two-dimensional plane.

In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

The modified Korteweg - de Vries equation in the theory of large - amplitude internal waves [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinear Processes in Geophysics, 1997
The propagation of large- amplitude internal waves in the ocean is studied here for the case when the nonlinear effects are of cubic order, leading to the modified Korteweg - de Vries equation.

Transformation and disintegration of strongly nonlinear internal waves by topography in stratified lakes [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2002
For many lakes the nonlinear transfer of energy from basin-scale internal waves to short-period motions, such as solitary internal waves (SIW) and wave trains, their successive interaction with lake boundaries, as well as over-turning and ...

Dynamics of Internal Envelope Solitons in a Rotating Fluid of a Variable Depth

open access: yesFluids, 2019
We consider the dynamics of internal envelope solitons in a two-layer rotating fluid with a linearly varying bottom. It is shown that the most probable frequency of a carrier wave which constitutes the solitary wave is the frequency where the growth rate
