The Anonymous Poster: How to Protect Internet Users’ Privacy and Prevent Abuse [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The threat of anonymous Internet posting to individual privacy has been met with congressional and judicial indecisiveness. Part of the problem stems from the inherent conflict between punishing those who disrespect one\u27s privacy by placing a burden ...

High‐Speed Design of Multiplexed Meta‐Optics Enabled by Physics‐Driven Self‐Supervised Network

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐driven self‐supervised network (PDSS‐Net) is proposed for high‐speed, iteration‐free design of multiplexed meta‐optics. By learning a direct mapping from holographic targets to all meta‐atom structures, PDSS‐Net achieves a 1000× speedup over traditional optimization methods in designing 2K RGB meta‐holograms.

Mixed Lineage Kinase Domain‐Like Protein (MLKL): From Mechanisms to Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The mixed lineage kinase domain‐like protein (MLKL) acts as the executioner in the necroptosis pathway, transitioning from an inactive to active state through phosphorylation, oligomerization, membrane recruitment, and membrane insertion, ultimately forming membrane hotpots.

Repositioning Antimicrobial Peptides Against WHO‐Priority Fungi

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The growing burden of drug‐resistant fungal infections, driven by pathogens such as Candida auris, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus fumigatus, underscores the urgent need for novel antifungal therapies. This review explores antimicrobial peptides as promising agents with membrane‐disruptive activity, immunomodulatory properties, and delivery ...

Fundamentals and Perspectives on Materials for Bifunctional Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review presents a comparative evaluation of key catalyst families for HER and OER, including MOFs, metal oxides, hydroxides/hydrides, carbon‐based materials, phosphides, and chalcogenides. Their electrochemical activity, stability, and commercialization potential are critically analyzed, with design strategies for hybrid catalysts also discussed ...

Hepatocyte‐Specific GSDMD Deficiency Aggravates Sepsis by Disrupting Non‐Canonical Secretion of Anti‐Inflammatory Factors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposes for the first time that hepatic GSDMD plays a key protective role in sepsis. Hepatic GSDMD may release inflammatory inhibitory factors including VEGF‐B and Gremlin‐1 through pore‐forming activity to inhibit the production of inflammatory factors from macrophages, thereby alleviating the inflammatory response of septic mice ...
