Abstract Premise DNA barcoding for timber species identification requires comprehensive reference datasets, informative DNA barcodes, and cost‐effective protocols. We developed a workflow leveraging Hyb‐Seq (target capture sequencing and genome skimming) to address these challenges, and we tested it on four genera from the mahogany family (Meliaceae ...

Beyond interpolation: optimal reconstruction by quasi-interpolation [PDF]
We investigate the use of quasi-interpolating approximation schemes, to construct an estimate of an unknown function from its given discrete samples. We show theoretically and with practical experiments that such methods perform better than classical interpolation, for the same computation cost.

Let \(\Delta^k\) be the open unit polydisk in \(\mathbb{C}^k\) and \(\alpha= (\alpha_1, \dots, \alpha_n)\) an \(n\)-tuple of distinct points in \(\Delta^k\). The corresponding pick body \(P_\alpha\) is the set of all points \(\omega\in \mathbb{C}^n\) such that there is a bounded holomorphic function \(F\) in \(\Delta^k\) into the property \(|F |_\infty\
