Trianguläre interpolation

open access: yesMonatshefte für Mathematik, 1984
Triangular interpolation problems (problems with biorthogonal polynomial sequence) are studied. Convergence of the corresponding interpolation series in investigated. It is shown that the interpolation polynomials form a basis in appropriate nuclear Fréchet spaces.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Regionalization of the Hargreaves-Samani Coefficients to Estimate Reference Evapotranspiration in High-Altitude Areas

open access: yesAtmosphere
The Penman-Monteith (PM) equation is considered the most accurate method for estimating reference evapotranspiration (ETo); however, its application requires a large amount of data that is not always available.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Solar Radiation Estimation Using Data Mining Techniques for Remote Areas—A Case Study in Ethiopia

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
High quality of solar radiation data is essential for solar resource assessment. For remote areas this is a challenge, as often only satellite data with low spatial resolution are available.
