We present a new fast reconstruction method for 2D NMR spectrum by combining the compressed sensing (CS) method and the optimum interpolation approximation. We define a weighting function that has the same waveform of the 2D NMR spectrum reconstructed by the CS method.

Theory of the Optimum Interpolation Approximation in a Shift-Invariant Wavelet and Scaling Subspace
IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2007In the main part of this paper, we present a systematic discussion for the optimum interpolation approximation in a shift-invariant wavelet and/or scaling subspace. In this paper, we suppose that signals are expressed as linear combinations of a large number of base functions having unknown coefficients.

Theory of extended interpolation approximation and upper and lower bounds of error
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part III: Fundamental Electronic Science), 1990AbstractAssume that signal f(t) is impressed on N parallel time‐invariant linear networks Hm(w)(m=1∼N), and consider the uniformly sampled values gm(nT)(m = 1∼N; n = 0, ±1, ±2,; T <0) of the output signal gm(t)(m=l∼N). This paper discusses the following problem from a unified viewpoint.

Use of approximate scattering theories as interpolation guides
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1992A simple method is given for using a fast but not necessarily accurate scattering approximation to interpolate the results of an exact calculation. The goal is to minimize the number of points where the expensive, exact calculation must be done. The approximate theory is used to remove the rapidly varying parts of the exact S-matrix to obtain a slowly ...
