Interpolation Of 2d Banach Spaces And Multiparametric Approximation
A multiparametric approximation theory via certain inequalities of Jackson and Bernstein type is developed. An approximation space is defined and it is shown that it is actually an interpolation space among 2d Banach spaces.

Faber-Schauder Wavelet Sparse Grid Approach for Option Pricing with Transactions Cost
Transforming the nonlinear Black-Scholes equation into the diffusion PDE by introducing the log transform of S and (T−t)→τ can provide the most stable platform within which option prices can be evaluated.

APPROXIMATELY SINGULAR WAVELET
The problem of approximation is relevant for most engineering applications. In this connection, the universal methods of approximation are of interest. The method of nonparametric approximation is developing in the paper – the method of singular wavelets.

Interpolation of several multiparametric approximation spaces
We prove a general interpolation theorem for linear operators acting simultaneously in several approximation spaces which are defined by multiparametric approximation families.

In order to the second order Cauchy problem (CP2):x″(t)=Ax(t), x(0)=x∈D(An), x″(0)=y∈D(Am) on a Banach space, Arendt and Kellermann recently introduced the integrated cosine function.

APPLICATION OF B-SPLINE METHOD IN SURFACE FITTING PROBLEM [PDF]
Fitting a smooth surface on irregular data is a problem in many applications of data analysis. Spline polynomials in different orders have been used for interpolation and approximation in one or two-dimensional space in many researches. These polynomials

Modified Fourier expansions: theory, construction and applications
Modified Fourier expansions present an alternative to more standard algorithms for the approximation of nonperiodic functions in bounded domains. This thesis addresses the theory of such expansions, their effective construction and computation, and ...
