For patients to benefit from abdominal point‐of‐care ultrasound, the ultrasound examinator must be sufficiently trained. In this systematic review, we identified advantages and disadvantages of different training methods and approaches. We conclude that thoughtful integration of the various educational methods is crucial for stakeholders and educators.

Interruption of vena cava inferior (VCI) is extremely rare, in occurrence in isolation or association with asplenia or polysplenia syndromes. In this abnormality, the infrahepatic segment of the VCI is absent, by representing the inadequacy of fusion of ...

Impact of Carina Width on Re‐Ablation Rate of Atrial Fibrillation After Primary Cryoballoon‐Ablation
Right side carina width is associated with the incidence of reconnection of RPVs and re‐ablation. Increased left side carina width was associated with re‐ablation rate, but there was no association with reconnection of the LPVs. ABSTRACT Background Reconnection of the pulmonary veins (PVs) is the primary cause of atrial fibrillation (AF) episodes after

Upcycling agricultural by‐products into functional resources, this study demonstrates that Cucumis melo var. makuwa leaf (CML) extract exerts a marked weight‐independent improvement of hepatic steatosis. CML extract markedly alleviates lipid accumulation, oxidative stress, and inflammation in MASLD, highlighting its potent hepatoprotective and ...

3-Dimensional Mapping and Radiofrequency Ablation of Atrial Flutter in a Patient with Interrupted Inferior Vena Cava [PDF]
The presence of isolated interrupted inferior vena cava (IVC) is very rare. Though the occurrence of typical atrial flutter in this setting has recently been described, the use of 3-dimensional activation mapping to aid the management of such patients ...

Radiofrequency catheter ablation of atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia in patient with interruption of inferior vena cava: A case report [PDF]
Background: Congenital anomalies can pose challenges during electrophysiology (EP) procedures in patients with tachyarrhythmias, making diagnosis and management of these cases quite difficult.

Modified transjugular approach for percutaneous atrial septal defect closure
Femoral venous route is routinely used for percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects (ASDs). However, a situation may arise where transfemoral approach is not feasible.

AF trigger sites exhibited a markedly shorter minimum local cycle length during ongoing AF, suggesting transient rapid activity. Ultra‐high‐resolution mapping during ongoing AF may provide complementary mechanistic information when conventional trigger mapping is inconclusive.
