Investigations of Three-Dimensional Shock/Shock Interactions over Symmetrical Intersecting Wedges
This study explored inviscid supersonic corner flows induced by three-dimensional symmetrical intersecting compression wedges by introducing the spatial dimension reduction theoretical approach to transform the three-dimensional steady shock/shock ...

Intersections of S-branes with waves and monopoles

Intersection of Slender Longitudinal Vortices by Shock Waves
In supersonic flow the leading edge vortex of delta wings can encounter intersection by an oblique or a normal shock. The resulting interaction between the two influences the aerodynamic forces, in particular the lift, especially if vortex breakdown occurs.

A programmable 2048‐element circular ultrasound array combined with a compact acoustic lens produces a thin “sound sheet” over a large field of view, and records echoes with wide angular diversity across the ring aperture. Coherence‐enhanced beamforming converts full‐matrix data into high‐contrast tomographic slices, delivering near‐diffraction‐limited

Theoretical and Numerical Analyses of Wave Propagation in Jointed Rock Masses
Rock masses are distinguished from other engineering materials by the existence of joints. When a wave propagates through a rock mass, it is significantly attenuated due to the reflection and dissipation at joints.

Whole‐genome analysis of 1,054 chickens reveals three ancestral sources (NWC, SYA, and SHF) with distinct temporal entry patterns into the Tibetan Plateau. Route‐specific selection scans, calibrated against a demographic null, suggest complementary functional enrichments—vascular homeostasis (NWC), calcium signaling and cardiac adaptation (SYA), and ...

Three-beam model for studying dislocations in wave pulses
A model pulsed wavefield is presented that enables the behaviour of the associated wave dislocations to be computed exactly. It consists of three intersecting beams of plane-wave pulses.

Reconfigurable Inflatables Through Controlled Surface Crumpling
ABSTRACT Inflatable structures offer remarkable versatility due to their compact storage and rapid deployment, making them ideal for lightweight, quickly assembled, and deployable applications. These structures are typically made from membranes that are nearly inextensible yet highly flexible.

A nano‐plasma device enables watt‐level on‐chip THz generation through picosecond switching triggered by secondary electron emission avalanche. An ultra‐dense electron sheet initiates nano‐plasma formation within a ∼100 nm gap, driving rapid energy release into an integrated resonator.

Biological rhythms coordinate physiology, from genes to behavior. Study of circadian rhythms in brain tissue is constrained by limited throughput and spatial and temporal information quality. A new platform for high‐throughput, long‐term multiplexed fluorescent live imaging of circadian rhythms in brain slices is introduced.
