SiO line emission from C-type shock waves : interstellar jets and outflows [PDF]
We study the production of SiO in the gas phase of molecular outflows, through the sputtering of Si-bearing material in refractory grain cores, which are taken to be olivine. We calculate also the rotational line spectrum of the SiO.

The Wardle Instability in Interstellar Shocks. II. Gas Temperature and Line Emission [PDF]
We have modeled the gas temperature structure in unstable C-type shocks and obtained predictions for the resultant CO and H2 rotational line emissions, using numerical simulations of the Wardle instability presented in Paper I.

Mid-infrared rotational line emission from interstellar molecular hydrogen
The line emission from the v = 0-0 S(0), S(2), and S(3), and the v = 1-0 and v = 2-1 S(1) transitions of molecular hydrogen in clouds exposed to high FUV fluxes and in shocks is modeled. Particular attention is given to the lowest pure rotational H2 transitions at 20 and 17 microns, respectively.

First Principles Rovibronic Absorption Spectra of HF Molecule. [PDF]
Hydrogen fluoride (HF) is astrophysically important, as it has been detected in sunspots, Venus, red giants, and the interstellar medium, serving as a probe of exoplanet atmospheres. This article presents an ab initio investigation of HF rovibronic spectroscopy, combining high‐level electronic‐structure data with nuclear‐motion solutions and refinement

Mid-infrared Spectroscopy of Protonated Benzonitrile, 2-Cyanonaphthalene, and 9-Cyanoanthracene for Astrochemical Consideration. [PDF]
Experimental infrared absorption spectra of three protonated cyano‐substituted PAHs measured by infrared multiple photon dissociation using the free‐electron laser Free‐Electron Laser for Infrared eXperiments are studied. These spectra are compared to an emission spectrum measured by JWST, and the largest measured protonated cyano‐PAH, cyanoanthracene,

Discovery of high-ionization far-ultraviolet line emission from the interstellar medium
Diffuse, highly ionized line emission from the 1550 lines of C IV and the 1663 lines of O II was discovered on Space Shuttle mission 61-C. The emission-lines ratios are consistent with a single temperature in most directions, although there is some evidence that the emission results from gas with a nonequilibrium ionization balance and a distribution ...

Detection of PAH Absorption and Determination of the Mid-infrared Diffuse Interstellar Extinction Curve from the Sight Line toward Cyg OB2-12 [PDF]
The sight line toward the luminous blue hypergiant Cyg OB2-12 is widely used to study interstellar dust on account of its large extinction (AV ≃ 10 mag) and the fact that this extinction appears to be dominated by dust typical of the diffuse interstellar

Evidence for line-of-sight frequency decorrelation of polarized dust emission in Planck data [PDF]
If a single line of sight (LOS) intercepts multiple dust clouds with different spectral energy distributions and magnetic field orientations, then the frequency scaling of each of the Stokes Q and U parameters of the thermal dust emission may be ...
