The electron density in clouds of turbulent interstellar plasma
Astronomy Reports, 2016The dependence of the emission measure on the dispersion measure due to the Galactic background has been derived for 120 directions in the Galaxy. This analysis has yielded the mean electron density, effective thickness of the electron layer, and the volume filling factor of the clouds of ionized gas along the line of sight.

Ionic Processes in Low Temperature Interstellar Molecular Plasmas
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2002Astrophysical plasmas vary widely in their temperatures and compositions. Some of the most tenuous, coldest, and spatially extensive are the diffuse and dense interstellar clouds, in the latter of which stars are forming. In these regions, including circumstellar shells, ∼130 molecules have been detected with ∼10% being ions.

A theoretical study of elementary processes in interstellar plasma
Plasma velocities in the Heliosheath and the influence of the interstellar wind
2009A new coordinate system (Interstellar Heliospheric Coordinates, or IHC) is introduced to enable the detailed study of the influence of the interstellar wind on the heliosheath. Recent, in situ measurements of plasma velocities in the heliosheath by Voyager 2 are projected into the IHC system and analyzed.
