A detailed study of the reflection nebula, NGC 7023 [PDF]
Polarisation and intensity maps in three broad wavebands are presented for the reflection nebula NGC7023. The data are used to investigate the structure, dust distribution and grain characteristics of the material surrounding the central illuminating ...

Enhancing crystallinity through thermal annealing leads to amplifying the chiroptical activity of TiO2 nanohelices (NHs) fabricated by glancing angle deposition, ascribed to the suppression of charge trapping. The enhanced chiroptical activity can be converted into pronounced dissymmetric photocatalytic kinetics of circularly polarized photocatalysis ...

Low Frequency Interstellar Scattering and Pulsar Observations [PDF]
Radio astronomy at frequencies from 2 to 30 MHz challenges time tested methods for extracting usable information from observations. One fundamental reason for this is that propagation effects due to the magnetoionic ionosphere, interplanetary medium, and

The abundance of elements in the interstellar medium is a key facet for many fields of astrophysical study. In the soft X-ray spectra, absorption by interstellar gas can result in deep absorption features that affect continuum measurements. In this paper,

FINE STRUCTURE OF ANOMALOUSLY INTENSE PULSES OF PSR J0814+7429 RADIO EMISSION IN THE DECAMETER RANGE
Purpose: The fine structure of the anomalously intense pulses of PSR J0814+7429 (В0809+74) has been studied. The pulsar radio emission fine structure is investigated to determine its parameters in the lowest part of spectrum available for groundbased ...

Joint Modelling of Dust Scattering and Thermal Emission: The Spider Complex
Observations across the electromagnetic spectrum of radiative processes involving interstellar dust—emission, absorption, and scattering—are used to constrain the parameters of dust models and more directly to aid in foreground removal of dust for ...

Interstellar Scattering And The Einstein Ring PKS 1830-211 [PDF]
The remarkably strong radio gravitational lens PKS 1830-211 consists of a one arcsecond diameter Einstein ring with two bright compact components located on opposite sides of the ring. We have obtained 22 GHz VLBA data on this source to determine the intrinsic angular sizes of the compact components.

Deterministic Propagation of Suprathermal Ions Through the Heliosphere
Abstract The PEPSSI instrument onboard New Horizons is sampling the energy range that bridges pickup and suprathermal He+ ${\mathrm{H}\mathrm{e}}^{+}$ ions for the first time in the outer heliosphere. New Horizons repeatedly encountered structures beyond 30 au that we interpret as the spiral of a corotating interaction region (CIR) for an extended ...

Scattering of stars by interstellar clouds or massive clumps increases the stellar velocity dispersion and promotes a radial disk profile that is exponential.
