Gastric dilatation and volvulus in a capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris, Linnaeus, 1766)
Abstract Gastric torsion has been described in several species, but this is the first documented case in a capybara. An entire, 6‐year‐old, female capybara was found dead in the indoor enclosure of the zoo in the morning. Pathological examinations revealed a large, bloated stomach upon opening the abdominal cavity.

Respiratory improvement of aspiration pneumonia using high‐flow oxygen therapy in a cat
Abstract A 13‐year‐old neutered male cat was presented with acute paraparesis and severe thoracolumbar pain. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed an extradural paraspinal mass compressing the spinal cord. Surgery was performed, but 20 h post‐operatively, the cat developed severe respiratory distress consistent with aspiration pneumonia.

Pathogenesis of Pseudocheckerboard Pattern in Mechanic's Hands
ABSTRACT Among the relatively common manifestations of dermatomyositis (DM), “mechanic's hands” refer to symmetric hyperkeratotic erythematous lesions on the ulnar aspect of the thumbs and the radial aspect of the index and middle fingers. The “pseudocheckerboard pattern” is a distinct histopathological finding associated with mechanic's hands.
