Interstock/Rootstock Effect on Bing Cherry Fruit Quality

open access: yesJournal of the American Pomological Society, 1981
Bing cherry fruit from trees on 4 sour cherry interstocks with 2 mazzard and 2 mahaleb rootstocks were evaluated 2 seasons for interstock/rootstock effects on fruit firmness, weight, soluble solids, size, color, and yield. Rootstock exerted a greater influence than interstock.

Pummelo Interstocks Could Improve Performance of HLB Trees

open access: yesEDIS, 2022
All commercially cultivated citrus scion varieties are grafted onto rootstocks before being planted in the field. The rootstocks are selected based on specific desirable qualities (abiotic/biotic stress resistance) and the ability to produce a good crop in a specific location.

Selection of Apple Trees (Malus domestica Borkh.) Based on Genetic Parameters Estimated Through Mixed Models

open access: yesPlant Breeding, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In Brazilian apple breeding (Malus domestica Borkh.), Active Germplasm Banks are providing the genetic diversity required for selecting genotypes with low chilling requirements, high yield and superior fruit quality. This study estimated genetic parameters and perform genotype selection based on phenotypic traits from the IDR‐Paraná breeding ...

Dwarf Interstocks Improve Aroma Quality of ‘Huahong’ Apple (Malus × domestica)

open access: yesAgriculture, 2022
‘Huahong’ is a popular apple cultivar because of its anti-browning properties and appealing aroma and flavor. It is mainly planted by grafting on dwarf interstocks in Northeast China. We investigated the different aroma profiles of apple fruits grown from six dwarf interstocks (‘CG24’, ‘SH38’, ‘SH3’, ‘MD001’, ‘Mac9’, and ‘CX5’) and from no interstocks (

Estimation of Interstock and Intermediate Stock Usefulness for Summer Pear Cvs. Budded on Two Rootstocks

open access: yesJournal of Horticultural Research, 2013
In order to increase the profitability of pear production, a greater density of weak growing trees per area unit should be planted. In Poland, the most frequently used pear dwarfing rootstocks are quince clones.

A Spatiotemporal Deep Learning Framework Based on GCNN and BiLSTM for Stock Price Forecasting

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Stock price forecasting remains a challenging problem due to the nonlinear, dynamic, and highly interconnected nature of financial markets. Traditional models and conventional deep learning approaches often fail to adequately capture complex interstock relationships and temporal dependencies simultaneously.

A Sweet Cherry Scion/Interstock/Rootstrock Experiment

open access: yesJournal of the American Pomological Society, 1970
In 1964, 486 sweet cherry trees consisting of two scion cultivars, four interstocks, and four rootstocks, in all possible combinations, were planted at the Washington State University Royal Slope Research Farm in the Columbia Basin of Washington. The primary purpose of this experiment was to observe size and growth characteristics of the various ...
