Some fundamental theorems in the interval-valued functions and time scales [PDF]
This research investigates the topological structure of the space of interval-valued functions equipped with an order relation defined by open balls. The aim is to establish analogues of fundamental theorems in calculus, including Bolzano’s theorem, the ...

Efficient Genomic Interval Queries Using Augmented Range Trees
Efficient large-scale annotation of genomic intervals is essential for personal genome interpretation in the realm of precision medicine. There are 13 possible relations between two intervals according to Allen's interval algebra.

ABSTRACT Surveillance imaging aims to detect tumour relapse before symptoms develop, but it's unclear whether earlier detection of relapse leads to better outcomes in children and young people (CYP) with medulloblastoma and ependymoma. This systematic review aims to identify relevant literature to determine the efficacy of surveillance magnetic ...

GENERALIZED INVERSE INTERVAL METHOD OF GLOBAL CONSTRAINED OPTIMIZATION
The algorithmic and program software of inverse interval method for global constrained optimization are considered. The solution of model examples and the proof of the theorems of the algorithm’s convergence are presented.

A Comparison Index for Costs of Interval Linear Programming Models
Interval Linear Programming (ILP) presents several compelling challenges when applied to real-world problems that cannot be easily captured by traditional robust uncertainty models.

ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Meta-analysis: Confidence intervals and Prediction intervals
Several types of intervals are usually employed in meta-analysis, a fact that has generated some confusion when interpreting them. Confidence intervals reflect the uncertainty related to a single number, the parametric mean effect size. Prediction intervals reflect the probable parametric effect size in any study of the same class as those included in ...

Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.
