Fixed-Point Iteration Method for Uncertain Parameters in Dynamic Response of Systems with Viscoelastic Elements

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The paper presents a method for determining the dynamic response of systems containing viscoelastic damping elements with uncertain design parameters. A viscoelastic material is characterized using classical and fractional rheological models.

An Investigation on the Forced Convection of Al2O3-water Nanofluid Laminar Flow in a Microchannel Under Interval Uncertainties

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Nanofluids are regarded as an effective cooling medium with tremendous potential in heat transfer enhancement. In reality, nanofluids in microchannels are at the mercy of uncertainties unavoidably due to manufacturing error, dispersion of physical ...

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Approach to Analysis of Self-Selected Interval Data [PDF]

open access: yes
We analyze an approach to quantitative information elicitation in surveys that includes many currently popular variants as special cases. Rather than asking the individual to state a point estimate or select between given brackets, the individual can ...

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

Context sensitive solutions using interval analysis / Kontekstiniai sprendimai, naudojant intervalinę analizę / Контекстные решения с использованием интервального анализа

open access: yesTransport, 2011
The term ‘Context Sensitive Solutions’ was adopted by the Federal Highway Administration in 1997 and is a synonym of flexibility that allows the designer to balance the safety, mobility and preservation of environmental resources. When the optimal use of

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...
