Monotonicity of the over-rotation intervals for bimodal maps [PDF]
We show that the connectedness of the set of parameters for which the over-rotation interval of a bimodal interval map is constant. In other words, the over-rotation interval is a monotone function of a bimodal interval map.

Two Interval Upper-Bound Q-Function Approximations with Applications
The Gaussian Q-function has considerable applications in numerous areas of science and engineering. However, the fact that a closed-form expression for this function does not exist encourages finding approximations or bounds of the Q-function.

Development of linear functional arithmetic and its application to solving problems of interval analysis [PDF]
The work is devoted to the construction of a new type of intervals -- functional intervals. These intervals are built on the idea of expanding boundaries from numbers to functions. Functional intervals have shown themselves to be promising for further study and use, since they have more rich algebraic properties compared to classical intervals lamy. In

Hermite-Hadamard- and Jensen-Type Inequalities for Interval h1,h2 Nonconvex Function
In the present study, we will introduce the definition of interval h1,h2 nonconvex function. We will investigate some properties of interval h1,h2 nonconvex function.

Towards interval uncertainty propagation control in bivariate aggregation processes and the introduction of width-limited interval-valued overlap functions [PDF]
Overlap functions are a class of aggregation functions that measure the overlapping degree between two values. Interval-valued overlap functions were defined as an extension to express the overlapping of interval-valued data, and they have been usually applied when there is uncertainty regarding the assignment of membership degrees.

Background: Short-interval intracortical inhibition (SICI), as measured by threshold-tracking as a function of inter-stimulus interval (ISI), has been proposed as a useful biomarker for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), but its relationship to ...

Width-Based Interval-Valued Distances and Fuzzy Entropies
In this paper, we study distance measures between interval-valued fuzzy sets and entropies of interval-valued fuzzy sets. These are well-known and widely used notions in the fuzzy sets theory.

Axiomatic characterization of the interval function of partial cubes and partial Hamming graphs
Interval function of a graph is a well-known notion in metric graph theory and the axiomatic characterization using a set of first order axioms of different graph classes is an interesting problem in this area.

Convergence of the solutions for the equation x(iv)+ax ⃛+bx¨+g(x˙)+h(x)=p(t,x,x˙,x¨,x ⃛)
This paper is concerned with differential equations of the formx(iv)+ax ⃛+bx¨+g(x˙)+h(x)=p(t,x,x˙,x¨,x ⃛)where a, b are positive constants and the functions g, h and p are continuous in their respective arguments, with the function h not necessarily ...
