Temporal Patterns of Allergen Sensitisation in the General Population: The LEAD Study

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Allergic sensitisation is traditionally viewed as a stable trait despite studies suggesting that it may vary across life‐course. This study aims to provide longitudinal evidence of allergic sensitisation and its associated factors in the general population.

Blood‐based cell‐free DNA and multitarget stool RNA screening tests to detect colorectal cancer: A systematic review

open access: yesCancer, Volume 132, Issue 11, 1 June 2026.
Abstract Two new tests, a cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) blood‐based test (BBT) and multitarget stool RNA (mt‐sRNA) test with in‐laboratory fecal immunochemical testing, were recently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, and a second BBT is under review. These tests have the potential to overcome barriers to screening.

Building a Robust Investigator‐Initiated Platform: The I‐CARE Experience

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 119, Issue 6, Page 1537-1546, June 2026.
Investigator‐initiated studies that include information collected by patients are rising, but limited data is available on patient and investigator experience in this setting. The I‐CARE cohort included patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) monthly collecting clinical information in 15 countries for up to 6 years.

ParaHox Genes Revisited: From Gut Patterning to Integrated Axial and Neural Organization in Rotifera

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Zoology Part B: Molecular and Developmental Evolution, Volume 346, Issue 4, Page 357-369, June 2026.
In rotifers, ParaHox genes show a dispersed genomic organization, with Xlox absent across gnathiferans. Exclusive neuronal expression of Gsx and Cdx reveals that ancestral ParaHox genes coordinated neural and epithelial development beyond gut patterning, suggesting an integrated role in early bilaterian body plan organization.
