Double Helix Structure for Stable Flexural Actuation in Soft Robotics
Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.This work introduces a double‐helical architecture for soft robotic actuators that enhances twisting resistance, increases output force, and minimizes undesired deformation. Actuators driven by shape‐memory alloy wires exhibit a roughly fivefold higher torsional/flexural stiffness ratio and 50% greater force output.

Small‐Scale Magnetic Peristaltic Soft Robot With Mobility and Transport Capabilities
Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.This study introduces a miniature, untethered soft magnetic microrobot with peristaltic capabilities for both locomotion and cargo transport. Eight helically magnetized elastomeric strips deform under rotating fields (10–80 mT, 1–5 Hz), enabling movement across rods and lumina at up to 4.1 body lengths min‐¹.

Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.A digital twin framework is presented for modular soft continuum arms built from fiber‐reinforced pneumatic actuators. Cosserat rod models describe individual actuators, while virtual assemblies are formed through serial and parallel networks, preserving actuator‐level architecture and arm deformation.
