Rare‐earth catalysts regulate lithium–sulfur battery chemistry through f‐orbital–mediated interactions, enabling simultaneous polysulfide adsorption and catalytic conversion on conductive carbon hosts. This synergistic control suppresses the shuttle effect, accelerates redox kinetics, and guides stable Li2S nucleation, providing a mechanistic framework

Intoxication, Recklessness and Negligence [PDF]
According to what is here called the “Intoxication Recklessness Principle,” a defendant who, thanks to voluntary intoxication, is unaware of a condition of which a reasonable person would have been aware is to be treated as though he were reckless with ...

The strengthened EMSI in Pd/CoN‐Co4N induces electronic rearrangement, generating abundant Pd0 species in situ, modulating the Pd d‐band center to enhance O2 adsorption and MEK activation. Concurrently, it creates numerous Lewis acid sites that preferentially adsorb poisons and shield the active sites.

A new data‐efficient framework combining DFT calculations, a neural network model, and automated graph analysis of catalytic reaction networks is proposed and applied to CO2 hydrogenation on transition metal nanoparticles. The analysis shows how efficient C2 oxygenate production requires a balance between CHx formation, C–C coupling, protonation, and ...

Intoxication as Feminist Pleasure: Drinking, Dancing, and Un-Dressing with/for Jenni Rivera
In "Intoxication as Feminist Pleasure: Drinking, Dancing, and Un-Dressing with/for Jenni Rivera," Yessica Garcia Hernandez presents a subculture of unabashed, unambivalent, and unapologetic “wet” feminism. During the concerts of the Chicana singer, Jenni

This study demonstrates a Bi2WO6/SrBi2Ta2O9 heterojunction where light‐driven ferroelectric polarization reversal couples with persistent photoconductivity, enabling exclusive NO2 selective room‐temperature sensing. The device achieves a two‐order‐of‐magnitude sensitivity enhancement over an unpolarized device, a sub‐ppb detection limit, and robust ...

Atomically dispersed CuOx (CPCu‐1) forms isolated Cu–Ov sites that enable defect‐mediated O2 activation and fast electron/proton transfer via interfacial synergy. In contrast, thick CuOx clusters (CPCu‐10) promote a surface‐adsorption‐controlled pathway with intermediate accumulation, highlighting a mechanism switch from interfacial activation to ...

Adaptive Coordination Engineering for Efficient and Robust H2 Release
β‐H elimination is a pivotal but challenging step in homogeneous formic acid dehydrogenation reactions due to strict hydride‐metal matching. By using a rationally designed Pd1Ag2 bimetallic system with adaptive Pd1‐Ag2/L2 coordination and formate bridges, it enables boosted formic acid dehydrogenation under ambient air (7.7 times higher than a Pd ...
