Treating Systematic Errors in Multiple Sclerosis Data [PDF]
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by high variability between patients and, more importantly here, within an individual over time. This makes categorization and prognosis difficult.

Section Showing Minimal Intra-individual Variations in Masticatory Movement
To clarify the section showing minimal intraindividual variations in the movement of the mandibular incisal point during mastication of softened chewing gum.Twenty healthy subjects were asked to chew softened chewing gum on the habitual side for 20 seconds.

Intra-individual reaction time variability and all-cause mortality over 17 years: A community-based cohort study [PDF]
Background: very few studies have examined the association between intra-individual reaction time variability and subsequent mortality. Furthermore, the ability of simple measures of variability to predict mortality has not been compared with more ...

The objective was primarily to describe short term intra-individual variation in serum levels of soluble adhesion molecules (sCAMs: E-selectin, P-selectin, intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1) and vascular cellular adhesion molecule-1(sVCAM-1)) in ...

Intra-individual Variation in Nineteenth-century Private Letters
This chapter explores intra-individual variation (IAV) in three nineteenthcentury private letters. Quantitative and qualitative analyses of these letters, written in 1845 by a maid working in Graz (Austria) to her sister in Straden (Austria), illustrate to what extent the language use of the same person can vary in writing.

Intra-individual variation in commonly analyzed serum constituents.
Abstract Concentrations of 27 commonly estimated serum constituents were measured in blood sampled from 20 apparently healthy volunteers at 0830, 1230, and 1630 hours on each of four days, at weekly intervals. Time-dependent statistically significant (p less than or equal to 0.01) variation was observed in 12 of the constituents.

A test-retest reliability study of human experimental models of histaminergic and non-histaminergic itch [PDF]
Numerous exploratory, proof-of-concept and interventional studies have used histaminergic and non-histaminergic human models of itch. However, no reliability studies for such surrogate models have been conducted.
