Immunomodulatory Peptide LW‐9 Enhances Doxorubicin Efficacy by Downregulating PD‐L1 and Promoting Intratumoral T‐Cell Responses in Murine Breast Cancer

open access: yesImmunology, EarlyView.
LW‐9, a peptide derived from Phoneutria nigriventer venom, enhances antitumor immunity in a murine breast cancer model by remodelling the tumour microenvironment. Treatment reduces PD‐L1 expression while increasing CD3+ and GITR+ T‐cell infiltration, resulting in delayed tumour progression, particularly when combined with doxorubicin.
