Successful endoscopic treatment of an intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct

open access: yesWorld Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, 2017
We present a case of a 76-year-old man with right upper quadrant abdominal pain and weight loss, who was found to have an intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct (IPNB) of the pancreaticobiliary subtype, deemed curatively resectable. The patient declined surgery and opted for endoscopic therapy.

Current considerations on intraductal papillary neoplasms of the bile duct and pancreatic duct

open access: yesWorld Journal of Gastroenterology
Pancreatobiliary intraductal papillary neoplasms (IPNs) represent precursors of pancreatic cancer or bile duct cholangiocarcinoma that can be detected and treated. Despite advances in diagnostic methods, identifying these premalignant lesions is still challenging for treatment providers.

Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm of the Bile Duct: A Case Report

open access: yesCureus
Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) are a prevalent subtype of pancreatic cystic lesions, especially among individuals with liver cirrhosis. Intraductal papillary neoplasms of the bile duct (IPNBs) differ in histopathology based on the location and cellular variability in each location.
