Biomarker expression in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia: potential progression predictive factors for low-grade lesions

open access: yes, 2011
The aim of this study was to reveal whether 3 biomarkers (p16INK4a, ProEx C, and human papilloma virus DNA) are useful in the diagnosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and whether they could predict disease progression of cervical intraepithelial ...

Targeting KRAS for cancer therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
In recent years, therapeutics targeted against KRAS proto‐oncogene GTPase (KRAS)‐mutant cancers have seen significant progress. Herein we outline the biology and epidemiology of KRAS alterations at the lineage and allele levels, reviewing the clinical evidence for KRASG12C inhibition from the discovery of the recessive switch pocket to sotorasib ...

Bile‐Derived Exosomal miR‐196a/‐196b as Diagnostic Biomarkers Associated With Tumor Progression in Biliary Tract Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Bile‐derived exosomal miR‐196a and miR‐196b are identified as novel biomarkers for biliary tract cancer. Serum miR‐196a levels are significantly elevated in advanced disease with metastasis, while both miRNAs contribute to tumor progression by promoting cancer cell proliferation and invasion.

The emerging role of the Hippo signaling pathway in interorgan crosstalk

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Hippo signaling functions as a central hub of interorgan communication. Systemic cues from the gut, adipose tissue, and skeletal muscle—including hormones, metabolites, and microbial signals—regulate YAP/TAZ activity in a tissue‐ and context‐dependent manner.
