Peristaltic flow of a fluid in a porous channel: A study having relevance to flow of bile within ducts in a pathological state [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering Science (IJES), Volume: 49, Issue: 9(2011) pp. 950-966, 2011
The paper deals with a theoretical study of the transport of a fluid in a channel, which takes place by the phenomenon of peristalsis. A mathematical analysis of the said problem has been presented. The analysis involves the application of a suitable perturbation technique. The velocity profile and the critical pressure for the occurrence of reflux are

A CASE OF INTRAHEPATIC BILE DUCT STONES ASSOCIATED WITH INTRAHEPATIC BILE DUCT CARCINOMA

open access: yesThe journal of the Japanese Practical Surgeon Society, 1990
A case of intrahepatic bile duct stones associated with intrahepatic bile duct carcinoma is reported. The case was a 68-year-old man complaining of epigastralgia which was which was developed since 1988. The patient had undergone cholecystectomy in 1955. He was diagnosed to have intrahepatic bile duct stones and admitted to this hospital for operation.
