Epithelial Splenic Cysts in an Intrapancreatic Accessory Spleen and Spleen
Pathology International, 1999A rare case of cysts simultaneously occurring in the intrapancreatic accessory spleen and spleen in a 49‐year‐old female is reported. The patient underwent distal pancreatomy for a cystic tumor of the pancreas, and a splenectomy. A multilocular cyst (4.3 × 2.6 cm) in an accessory spleen at the pancreas tail, and a solitary cyst (1.2 × 0.9 cm) of the ...

Intrapancreatic Accessory Spleen: Case Report
Abdominal Imaging, 1998We report a rare case of intrapancreatic accessory spleen which radiologically mimicked a pancreatic hypervascular tumor. The diagnosis of an intrapancreatic accessory spleen should be considered when a pancreatic mass has the CT densities and/or MR signal intensities similar to those of the spleen, with and without contrast medium.

A Rare Case of Hemangiomatosis of the Spleen and Intrapancreatic Accessory Spleen
Abdominal Imaging, 2014We presented a very rare case of hemangiomatosis of the spleen and intrapancreatic accessory spleen in the tail of the pancreas. A previously healthy 45-year-old woman felt left back pain and received CT scan. Multiple splenic masses and a pancreatic mass in the tail were detected.

[Intrapancreatic accessory spleen].
Rozhledy v chirurgii : mesicnik Ceskoslovenske chirurgicke spolecnosti, 2009Intrapancreatic accessory spleen is a rare cause of pancreatic pseudotumors and in about 1-2% located in the pancreatic tail. Intrapancreatic Accessory Spleen Diagnosed on Radionuclide Imaging
Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 2009Intrapancreatic accessory spleen (IPAS) is ectopic splenic tissue distinct from the main spleen. A 46-year-old man with chronic hepatitis C, presented in 2006 with low right chest pain which led to a diagnosis of tuberculosis pleurisy. Is an accessory nipple associated with an intrapancreatic accessory spleen?
Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International, 2019Abstract Intrapancreatic accessory spleen (IPAS) is a rare differential diagnosis of a solitary hypervascular lesion. It is not uncommon to misdiagnose IPAS as pancreatic tumors particularly pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasm since no specific imaging has been developed for the differential diagnosis. We described a rare case of a male patient with a

Intrapancreatic accessory spleen: evaluation by CT arteriography
Abdominal Imaging, 2003Intrapancreatic accessory spleens are frequently confused with primary pancreatic tumors, and differentiation from neoplastic lesions is important to avoid an unnecessary laparotomy. We present three cases of intrapancreatic accessory spleen evaluated by computed tomographic arteriography (CTA) and discuss the characteristic findings.CTA was performed,

Intrapancreatic Accessory Spleen Imitating a Pancreatic Neoplasm
Polish Journal of Surgery, 2011Accessory spleens are present in 10% of population and are formed during embryonic development. Besides the splenic hilum, the next most frequent localization of accessory spleens is the pancreatic tail. Intrapancreatic accessory spleens are usually diagnosed occasionally and make diagnostic difficulty because they imitate a pancreatic neoplasm.
