In this research, we formulated a predator-prey model by considering cannibalism in the prey and intraspecific competition on predator population. We found three types of equilibrium points existed under certain condition, except the extinction of all population equilibrium point.

Habitat Features, Coyotes, and Humans Drive Diel Activity Variation Among Sympatric Mammals
We found that multiple mammal species show considerable variation in diel activity in response to several factors, with biotic variables (habitat features and the presence of coyotes Canis latrans) having the strongest overall effects. Our results have important implications for trophic dynamics. Future studies will need to account for these underlying

This work focused on arowana fishes (Teleostei, Osteoglossiformes) as a model; their widespread intercontinental distribution and basal phylogenetic position within Teleostei make them a compelling model for evolutionary research, especially in the realm of satDNA molecular evolution. Through the integration of genomic and chromosomal data, we analyzed

Intra‐ and Interspecific Effects on Spatio‐Temporal Behavior of Common Commensal Rodent Species
This study revealed major findings on spatio‐temporal behavior of commensal rodents on a pig farm showing the influence of interspecific dominance on movement behavior and the resulting species‐specific ecological adaptations. Additionally, rodents tend to stay in their home ranges and migration to other stable buildings is only rare.

Predation Efficiency and Biological Control Potential of Micromus angulatus Against Aphis craccivora
Micromus angulatus (Neuroptera: Hemerobiidae) is a widely distributed and highly effective predator that shows promise as a biological control agent against agricultural pests, particularly Aphis craccivora, the cowpea aphid, which threatens leguminous ...

Urban Eurasian tree sparrows exhibit pronounced nest‐site plasticity, exploiting vertical building space while preferring lower nest heights when sites are abundant. Nest decisions are driven by altitude and building height rather than other factors, indicating a shift toward anthropogenic resources in cities.

Lacustrine forms of Triglopsis from North American and European lakes are at different stages of evolution, making them a suitable model for testing hypotheses about evolutionary patterns and rates. An integrative analysis of morphological, genetic, and biological adaptations occurring in lacustrine forms of the genus Triglopsis was carried out.

Interspecific and intraspecific variation in the susceptibility of arthropods to predation by the Argentine ant [PDF]
The Argentine ant (Linepithema humile) is a facultative scavenger that opportunistically consumes both live prey and carrion. Despite its stature as a widespread and disruptive invader, how it interacts with other arthropods remains incompletely ...
