Exploring endometrial cancer in premenopausal women—A nationwide PremEnCa cohort study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 1, Page 195-206, January 2026.
Almost half of the cohort of EC in women ≤50 has obesity and the prognosis is generally excellent. Non‐endometrioid histology and advanced tumor stage were the strongest negative prognostic factors. Half of the deaths were due to non‐cancer causes, emphasizing the need for a focus on overall health.

Pharmacotherapy Risks in Rare Genetic Diseases: Cross‐Referencing ACMG Secondary Findings v3.2 List With Clinical Databases

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Clinical genomics and pharmacogenomics have largely remained separate fields, though some genetic variants have overlapping disease risk and drug implications. However, the extent of this overlap is not well studied. To explore this gap, we cross‐referenced genes from the American College of Medical Genetics Secondary Findings v3.2 list with ...

The contribution of age and sex hormones to female neuromuscular function across the adult lifespan

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 2, Page 829-848, 15 January 2026.

Management of Ablation‐Refractory Atrial Fibrillation During Pregnancy

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Development of new atrial fibrillation (AF) is uncommon in pregnancy with an incidence of 0.03%. The occurrence of drug‐refractory AF during pregnancy in individuals with structurally normal hearts is even rarer, and there are no reports of ablation‐refractory AF during pregnancy in the literature.

Hope in Miniature: The First Case of Implantation of a “Tiny Pacemaker” in Italy as a Successful Treatment for Congenital Atrioventricular Block in a Low Birth Weight Child

open access: yesCase Reports in Cardiology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Congenital complete atrioventricular block (CAVB) is a rare cardiac condition occurring in approximately one in 15,000 to one in 22,000 live births. Maternal autoimmune diseases, with anti‐ssA (Ro) and anti‐ssB (La) antibodies implicated in 56%–90% of cases, are primary causes.
