Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia
2022Clinical History: A 40-year-old male presents with complaint of pain in the middle of his right calf that began after a period of toe-walking while hedge-trimming. Physical exam was notable for only localized tenderness in the area. Deep vein thrombosis was excluded twice. Rest did not alleviate his pain.

Compressive Effects of Intravascular Papillary Endothelial Hyperplasia
Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 2010A 45-year-old woman presented with an 8-month history of a firm mass over the right superonasal orbital rim, followed by an episode of hemorrhage and anesthesia 5 months later. Clinical history and CT were suggestive of a venous malformation with phleboliths. Excision biopsy was performed.

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia in the oral mucosa
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1978An intraluminal reactive hyperplastic lesion from the lower labial mucosa of an adult male patient is described. It has been termed intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia and may have arisen in an organizing thrombosed vein. The importance of distinguishing it from a malignant vascular neoplasm is stressed, and the differential diagnosis is ...

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia of the mandibular mucosa
International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 1991Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) usually presents as a cutaneous lesion consisting of a reactive proliferation of endothelial cells that arise in an organizing thrombus. This lesion can easily be mistaken for an angiosarcoma. Oral presentations are rare, and when they do occur the most common site is the lip.

Intravascular Papillary Endothelial Hyperplasia
2016Also known as intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH), Masson’s vegetant hemangioendothelioma. Benign proliferation of endothelial cells, which presents as slow growing, tender, violaceous cutaneous mass on the head, neck, fingers, or trunk.

Multiple intracerebral intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia
Acta Neurochirurgica, 1997Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) is a rare benign reactive lesion usually found in thrombosed subcutaneous blood vessels. It uncommonly occurs in the central nervous system and may be mistaken for a more malignant type of tumour such as angiosarcoma.

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia in the kidney of a child
Virchows Archiv, 2000Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) is a benign vascular lesion which is thought to represent an unusual form of organizing thrombus. A case of IPEH in the kidney of a 7-year-old girl is described. She suffered from intermittent flank pain and gross hematuria for 6 months. On radiological examinations, well-defined hypoechoic lesions

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia of the adrenal gland
The British Journal of Radiology, 1986The efficacy of imaging the adrenal gland by means of computed tomography (CT) has been well documented (Hattery et al, 1981; Baba, 1982). Computed tomography can readily and accurately demonstrate both the normal and abnormal adrenal gland. This report describes the CT manifestations in a case of adrenal intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia.

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia of the periocular region
Orbit, 2019Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) is a benign vascular lesion, typically found in the skin, consisting of a papillary proliferation of endothelial cells intimately related to a thrombus; it appears to be a rare variant of an organizing process.
