Intravascular Papillary Endothelial Hyperplasia

Archives of Dermatology, 1978
• Observations were made of three cases of intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH). Lesions of IPEH usually occur on the head and neck area as a subcutaneous red or blue nodule. This papillary proliferation of endothelial and stromal tissue occurs de novo in organizing venous thrombi or in preexisting hemangiomas or phlebectasias.

Central intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia of the mandible

Virchows Archiv A Pathological Anatomy and Histopathology, 1984
Light and electron microscopic findings in papillary endothelial hyperplasia of the mandible in a 49-year-old female are reported. The endothelial cell-lined papillary projection into a cystic lumen was examined by light microscopy and characteristic features of the endothelial cells were found by electron microscopy.

Intravascular Papillary Endothelial Hyperplasia

Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 2008
Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH) is a benign vascular proliferative process characterized by papillary proliferation of endothelial cells located within a vascular lumen. The lesions occur most commonly in the extremities and in the head and neck region. 1,2 Reports of the imaging findings of these masses are scarce.

Recurrent Intravascular Papillary Endothelial Hyperplasia of the Toes

Dermatology, 2000
We report on the rare case of a 50-year-old male with intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEP) in the left toes. The patient noticed a small tender mass in the left toes and underwent surgery in November 1997. The tumor recurred twice after surgery.

Intravascular Papillary Endothelial Hyperplasia in an Intracranial Cavernous Hemangioma

Neurosurgery, 1987
Abstract A novel presentation of intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia within a cerebral cavernous angioma in an adult is described. The pathogenesis of the lesion and its histological differentiation from malignant angiosarcoma are stressed.

Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia in the hand

European Journal of Plastic Surgery, 1999
Papillary endothelial hyperplasia first described by Masson as vegetant intravascular hemangioendothelioma, is a reactive endothelial proliferation that, in many respects, mimics an angiosarcoma. Such lesions are most commonly located within veins of the head, neck and fingers, and must be included in differential diagnosis of vascular lesions.
