Pulmonary Delivery of siRNA Anti‐TNFα‐loaded Lipid Nanoparticles for Rapid Recovery in Murine Acute Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
In a murine model of acute lung injury, pulmonary administration of lipid nanoparticles carrying TNFα siRNA enables targeted delivery to immune cells. The study emphasises the importance of optimizing LNP distribution and delivery timing to improve therapeutic outcomes and develop emergency therapies for lung hyperinflammation.

Metabolism of Intravenously-Infused Sorbitol

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1955
Summary1. Intravenous infusion of sorbitol in rabbits causes a prompt fructosemia which subsides relatively rapidly following cessation of infusion. A more variable secondary glucosemia occurs following the rise in blood fructose and during the subsidence of the fructosemia.

A Deployable 4D Printed, Mucoadhesive and Magnetically Guided Patch for Local Therapy of Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A new perspective for treatment of gastric cancer is proposed utilizing 4D printing to develop shape morphing, deployable, and magnetically guided local drug releasing patches. The deployed patches are envisioned to adhere at the tumor site to locally deliver high drug amounts.

Long‐term stability of cefuroxime and cefazolin sodium in intravenous infusions

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics, 1996
Cefazolin and cefuroxime sodium are often used as antibiotic infusions for hospitalized patients. Because advance preparation of these intravenous solutions is efficient, the stability of both antibiotics stored at 4 °C in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bags ...

Biologically Active Implants Prevent Mortality in a Mouse Sepsis Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A modular, triple‐action titanium implant is developed to prevent implant‐associated infections by repelling bacteria, killing pathogens, and enhancing tissue integration. Coatings with phage cocktails targeting P. aeruginosa and S. aureus show significant bacterial reduction and improved survival in a mouse sepsis model.
