Evaluation of pain during intravitreal Ozurdex injections vs intravitreal bevacizumab injections [PDF]

open access: yesEye, 2014
The purpose was to evaluate the pain associated with intravitreal Ozurdex injections, and to compare it with that associated with intravitreal bevacizumab injections. The study included 57 eyes of 57 patients who received an intravitreal Ozurdex injection at our institution. Pain was measured by the visual analog scale (VAS).

Associations Between Initial Glycated Hemoglobin at Diabetes Diagnosis, Longitudinal Changes and Medication Effects, and the Severity and Progression of Sight‐Threatening Diabetic Retinopathy

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a leading cause of vision impairment in patients diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Awareness of risk factors is necessary to reduce or prevent harmful effects of DR such as irreversible vision loss, and to help ensure early treatment.
