Intrinsic Instability of Inorganic–Organic Hybrid Halide Perovskite Materials

Advanced Materials, 2019
AbstractHybrid lead halide perovskite materials are used in solar cells and show efficiencies greater than 23%. Furthermore, they are applied in light‐emitting diodes, X‐ray detectors, thin‐film transistors, thermoelectrics, and memory devices. Lead trihalide hybrid materials contain methylammonium (MA) or formamidinium (FA) (or a mixture), or long ...

Intrinsic instability of the lattice BGK model

Acta Mechanica Sinica, 2002
Based on the stability analysis with no linearization and expansion, it is argued that instability in the lattice BGK model is originated from the linear relaxation hypothesis of collision in the model. The hypothesis stands up only when the deviation from the local equilibrium is weak. In this case the computation is absolutely stable for real fluids.

Intrinsic Stability, Multi Stability and Instability

2002
Standard economic theories on market structure can be divided in two categories depending on their underlying assumptions about the degree of strategic (and structural) dependence among the interacting agents (firms, producers etc.) who are operating on the supply side of the economy.

Intrinsic instabilities of cooperative upconversion dynamics in lasers

OSA Annual Meeting, 1993
When the 2.8 µm erbium laser is pumped well above threshold an instability is observed at a unique pumping wavelength which causes the laser inversion to be produced by interactions among neighboring impurity ions. We show experimentally that this instability does not occur at equivalent levels over threshold when excitation is provided at wavelengths ...

Analysis of Entropy Wave Effects on Intrinsic Thermoacoustic Instabilities

Physics of Fluids
Thermoacoustic instability is a common problem in a wide range of combustors. Acoustic waves and unstable heat release interact to produce this instability, which can also be influenced by entropy waves. This study reveals that under certain conditions, the intrinsic thermoacoustic (ITA) frequency can shift due to changes in the system's inherent ...

Intrinsic Flame Instabilities in Premixed and Nonpremixed Combustion

Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics, 2007
The focus of this article is on intrinsic combustion instabilities in both premixed and nonpremixed systems, identifying, in particular, the roles of differential and preferential diffusion, thermal expansion, and heat losses. For premixed flames, the hydrodynamic instability resulting from thermal expansion plays a central role and is particularly ...

Intrinsic Optical Multistability and Instabilities in Liquid Crystals

1988
The effects of intrinsic optical multistability and temporal instabilities during wave interactions in an inhomogeneous anisotropic medium with threshold nonlinearity are discussed.
