The Intrinsic Mode Function Time Delay Method for beamforming
2012 Oceans, 2012This paper presents the Intrinsic Mode Function Time Delay Method (IMFTDM) which is based on Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT) and its application in beamforming. The IMFTDM can delay the broadband Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) by arbitrary time accurately.

Wigner-Ville distribution based on intrinsic mode function
2001 CIE International Conference on Radar Proceedings (Cat No.01TH8559), 2002A new method for suppressing the cross-term of the Wigner-Ville distribution is presented. It is designated as Wigner-Ville distribution based on intrinsic mode function. It includes two procedures. First, using a method of signal decomposition, a complicated signal is decomposed into a finite and often small number of basic components-intrinsic mode ...

Bearing Fault Detection Using Intrinsic Mode Functions Statistical Information
2018 15th International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices (SSD), 2018This paper investigates the bearing fault detection using vibration signals. For these mechanical type of fault, the energy in the signal is distributed in the frequency domain which is relatively wide. These particular frequencies linked to the fault occurrence is difficult to isolate and characterise.

An Evaluation of Intrinsic Mode Function Characteristic of Non-Gaussian Autorregresive Processes
2021Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is a suitable transformation to analyse non-linear time series. This work presents a empirical study of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) provided by the empirical mode decomposition. We simulate several non-gaussian autoregressive processes to characterize this decomposition. Firstly, we studied the probability density

Identification of significant intrinsic mode functions for the diagnosis of induction motor fault
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2014For the analysis of non-stationary signals generated by a non-linear process like fault of an induction motor, empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is the best choice as it decomposes the signal into its natural oscillatory modes known as intrinsic mode functions (IMFs).

Characterization of Intrinsic Mode Functions of the Electrical Cochlear Response
2019The aim of this paper was to characterize the Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) of the Electrical Cochlear Response (ECR) obtained by Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition. Sample Entropy was used to identify the IMFs related to background noise, Cochlear Implant artefact, and ECR.

Image Quality Assessment Based on Intrinsic Mode Function Coefficients Modeling
2011Reduced reference image quality assessment (RRIQA) methods aim to assess the quality of a perceived image with only a reduced cue from its original version, called ”reference image”. The powerful advantage of RR methods is their ”General-purpose”. However, most introduced RR methods are built upon a non-adaptive transform models.

Analysis of Intrinsic Mode Functions Based on Curvature Motion-Like PDEs
2015We provide here some contributions for both the comprehension and theoretical modeling of the well known Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method in 2D. This is achieved by reconsidering the so-called local mean which is formulated now with the morphological median operator.
