Débruitage fréquentiel de signaux par EMD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Dans cet article, nous proposons un nouveau schéma de débruitage des signaux basé sur la décomposition modale empirique associée à une analyse fréquentielle.

Speech enhancement using adaptive thresholding based on gamma distribution of Teager energy operated intrinsic mode functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This paper introduces a new speech enhancement algorithm based on the adaptive threshold of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) of noisy signal frames extracted by empirical mode decomposition.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Intrinsic Mode Entropy for postural steadiness analysis

open access: yes, 2008
International audiencePostural balance during quiet standing is maintained by complex interactions of many sensory systems, including visual, vestibular, and proprioceptive systems.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Intrinsic mode functions and a strategy for forecasting Indian monsoon rainfall

open access: yes, 2005
Indian monsoon rainfall data is shown to be decomposable into six empirical time series, called intrinsic mode functions. This helps one to identify the first empirical mode as a nonlinear part and the remaining as the linear part of the data.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Intrinsic Mode Entropy for Nonlinear Discriminant Analysis

open access: yes, 2007
International audienceSeveral methods of measuring entropy of time series have been developed and applied on physiological signals in order to distinguish data sets according to their underlying nonlinear dynamics.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Multi Sensor Image Fusion using Empirical Mode Decomposition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Image fusion is a process of combining relevant information from two or more images from different sensors based on certain algorithm. Many algorithms have been proposed for pixel level image fusion.
