Distinct dynamics and intrinsic properties in ventral tegmental area populations mediate reward association and motivation

open access: yesbioRxiv
Ventral tegmental area (VTA) dopamine neurons regulate reward-related associative learning and reward-driven motivated behaviors, but how these processes are coordinated by distinct VTA neuronal subpopulations remains unresolved.

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Reward System and Employee Commitment: Evidence From Delta State Civil Service Commission, Asaba

open access: yesPerspektif: Jurnal Ilmu-ilmu Sosial
The most important and valuable organizational and institutional resource in both public and private services is the employee. This is primarily because, without the employee commitment, all other resources will be dormant.

Conditioning sharpens the spatial representation of rewarded stimuli in mouse primary visual cortex

open access: yeseLife, 2018
Reward is often employed as reinforcement in behavioral paradigms but it is unclear how the visuospatial aspect of a stimulus-reward association affects the cortical representation of visual space.

Chronobiology of Cancer: How Aging Fuels Oncogenesis at the Molecular Level

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the key biological pathways linking aging with cancer development and progression. In the upper left, cumulative exposure to ultraviolet radiation, toxins, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes DNA damage and genomic instability, whereas age‐related decline in repair mechanisms, such as ATM/ATR, BER, and NER ...

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

Unraveling 4‐Phenylbutyrate's Therapeutic Role in SLC6A1 Disorders: Pharmacochaperoning Over HDAC Inhibition

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...

Intrinsic Motivation Dan Performance : Studi Meta Analisis

open access: yesPsikologika: Jurnal Pemikiran dan Penelitian Psikologi, 2008
Intrinsic motivation as a theory emerged in a study that defies the effect of reward to performance. This claim was strongly opposed by behaviorists, who believed that the role of rewards as reinforcement was very important.
