Inhibition of acyl‐CoA synthetase long‐chain isozymes decreases multiple myeloma cell proliferation and causes mitochondrial dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Triacsin C inhibition of the acyl‐CoA synthetase long chain (ACSL) family decreases multiple myeloma cell survival, proliferation, mitochondrial respiration, and membrane potential. Made with Biorender.com. Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable cancer of plasma cells with a 5‐year survival rate of 59%.

The All-Seeing Eye: A Massive-Multi-Sensor Zero-Configuration Intrusion Detection System for Web Applications [PDF]

open access: yesSECURWARE 2013 : The Seventh International Conference on Emerging Security Information, Systems and Technologies,2013,66-71, 2015
Timing attacks are a challenge for current intrusion detection solutions. Timing attacks are dangerous for web applications because they may leak information about side channel vulnerabilities. This paper presents a massive-multi-sensor zero-configuration Intrusion Detection System that is especially good at detecting timing attacks.

TRPM4 contributes to cell death in prostate cancer tumor spheroids, and to extravasation and metastasis in a zebrafish xenograft model system

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Transient receptor potential melastatin‐4 (TRPM4) is overexpressed in prostate cancer (PCa). Knockout of TRPM4 resulted in reduced PCa tumor spheroid size and decreased PCa tumor spheroid outgrowth. In addition, lack of TRPM4 increased cell death in PCa tumor spheroids.

Attribute Weighting with Adaptive NBTree for Reducing False Positives in Intrusion Detection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
In this paper, we introduce new learning algorithms for reducing false positives in intrusion detection. It is based on decision tree-based attribute weighting with adaptive na\"ive Bayesian tree, which not only reduce the false positives (FP) at acceptable level, but also scale up the detection rates (DR) for different types of network intrusions. Due

Cystatin A promotes the antitumor activity of T helper type 1 cells and dendritic cells in murine models of pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a disease with very poor prognosis due to therapeutic limitations. We investigated the antitumor effects of cystatin A (CSTA) in PDAC murine models. We are first to confirm that CSTA enhances T helper type 1‐mediated antitumor effects through promotion of dendritic cells and M1 macrophage activity. CSTA can be

Integrated Multilevel Intrusion Detection and Report System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper we demonstrate a new impression of intrusion detection system. We use multilevel structure of intrusion detection systems to protect our network. Most of traditional report systems are complicated and hard to manage.

Cell‐free DNA aneuploidy score as a dynamic early response marker in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
mFast‐SeqS‐based genome‐wide aneuploidy scores are concordant with aneuploidy scores obtained by whole genome sequencing from tumor tissue and can predict response to ARSI treatment at baseline and, at an early time point, to ARSI and taxanes. This assay can be easily performed at low cost and requires little input of cfDNA. Cell‐free circulating tumor

The application of multiple metrics in deformable image registration for target volume delineation of breast tumor bed

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Background and purpose For postoperative breast cancer patients, deformable image registration (DIR) is challenged due to the large deformations and non‐correspondence caused by tumor resection and clip insertion. To deal with it, three metrics (fiducial‐, region‐, and intensity‐based) were jointly used in DIR algorithm for improved accuracy ...
