Continuous Calculation of Intratracheal Pressure in Tracheally Intubated Patients

Anesthesiology, 1993
Intratracheal pressure (Ptrach) should be the basis for analysis of lung mechanics. If measured at all, Ptrach is usually assessed by introducing a catheter into the trachea via the lumen of the endotracheal tube (ETT). The authors propose a computer-assisted method for calculating Ptrach on a point-by-point basis by subtracting the flow-dependent ...

Intratracheal stent intubation under extracorporeal lung assist

Surgery Today, 1995
An artificial stent was intubated using extracorporeal lung assist (ECLA) in two patients with inoperable tracheal stenosis. In a patient with an endotracheal tumor, an airway obstruction due to a partial stent collapse was overcome by an immediate ECLA perfusion.

Intratracheal aerosolized etidocaine to attenuate cardiovascular and cough responses to laryngoscopy and intubation

Annals of Emergency Medicine, 1985
Forty-five ASA I or II patients scheduled for elective surgery were randomized into one of three groups. Patients in Group 1 (n = 15) received no intratracheal aerosol at laryngoscopy. Patients in Group 2 (n = 15) and Group 3(n = 15) received 50 mg and 75 mg, respectively, of intratracheal aerosolized etidocaine at laryngoscopy.

Intratracheal Administration of Dry Powder Formulation in Mice.

Journal of Visualized Experiments, 2020
In the development of inhalable dry powder formulations, it is essential to evaluate their biological activities in preclinical animal models. This paper introduces a noninvasive method of intratracheal delivery of dry powder formulation in mice.

Ventilator Y-Piece Pressure Compared with Intratracheal Airway Pressure in Healthy Intubated Children

Journal of Clinical Monitoring and Computing, 2006
Compare airway pressure measurements at the ventilator Y-piece of the breathing circuit (P( Y )) to intratracheal pressure measured at the distal end (P( T )) of the endotracheal tube (ETT) during mechanical ventilation and spontaneous breathing of intubated children.Thirty children (age range 29 days to 5 years) receiving general anesthesia were ...
