Intratracheal Administration of Dry Powder Formulation in Mice.

Journal of Visualized Experiments, 2020
In the development of inhalable dry powder formulations, it is essential to evaluate their biological activities in preclinical animal models. This paper introduces a noninvasive method of intratracheal delivery of dry powder formulation in mice.

Continuous Calculation of Intratracheal Pressure in Tracheally Intubated Patients

Anesthesiology, 1993
Intratracheal pressure (Ptrach) should be the basis for analysis of lung mechanics. If measured at all, Ptrach is usually assessed by introducing a catheter into the trachea via the lumen of the endotracheal tube (ETT). The authors propose a computer-assisted method for calculating Ptrach on a point-by-point basis by subtracting the flow-dependent ...

Intratracheal stent intubation under extracorporeal lung assist

Surgery Today, 1995
An artificial stent was intubated using extracorporeal lung assist (ECLA) in two patients with inoperable tracheal stenosis. In a patient with an endotracheal tumor, an airway obstruction due to a partial stent collapse was overcome by an immediate ECLA perfusion.

Comparison Between the Use of 10% Lidocaine Spray on the Mole Palate, Posterior Pharynx, Tonsillar Pillar, Hypopharynx, and Endotracheal Tube on Hemodynamics and Post-Intubation Throat Pain

JAI (Jurnal Anestesiologi Indonesia)
Background: Intubation causes various side effects such as pain and parasympathetic stimulation, hemodynamic changes, increased intracranial pressure, and increased risk of intracranial hemorrhage.

[Intratracheal intubation using a fiberoptic laryngoscope].

Annales francaises d'anesthesie et de reanimation, 1991
Experience with a new type of laryngoscope (Bullard) is reported. It weighs 1,200 kg, and has fiberoptic fibers both for lighting and viewing. Angle of vision is about 55 degrees. Endotracheal intubation with this device requires a semi-rigid stylet to bend the tracheal tube at 90 degrees just above its cuff, so as to reproduce the curvature of the ...

Intubation Bougie Dissection of Tracheal Mucosa and Intratracheal Airway Obstruction

Anesthesia & Analgesia, 2008
Intubation bougies are commonly used to aid in intubation when an optimal view of the larynx is not obtained. We describe a case of tracheal perforation using a disposable intubation bougie resulting in a complete intratracheal airway obstruction relieved by cricothyrotomy.

[Effects of urapidil on the cardiovascular response to intratracheal intubation].

Annales francaises d'anesthesie et de reanimation, 1991
The effects of urapidil on the haemodynamic response to endotracheal intubation were compared to that of placebo in two groups of 25 patients scheduled for general surgery. Normal saline solution or 0.4 mg.kg-1 urapidil were injected 3 min before induction of anaesthesia with 3 micrograms.kg-1 fentanyl, 0.3 mg.kg-1 etomidate and 0.1 mg.kg-1 vecuronium.
