Simplified interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets with intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2016
There has been a growing interest and activity in the field of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs). It is generally useful to express the variations of the membership function and the non-membership function in fuzzy circumstances. However, the IVIFS is a little bit complicated on expressions and calculations. To overcome this limitation,

Fuzzy numbers intuitionistic fuzzy descriptor systems

Information Sciences, 2018
The study is concerned with intuitionistic fuzzy control and brings an idea of fuzzy numeric intuitionistic fuzzy sets (FNIFS) regarded as generic building components of fuzzy models. The definition of this concept is provided along with some comparative analysis involving other types of information granules.

Intuitionistic Fuzzy Z-numbers

2020
Fuzzy sets and its extensions are widely used to determine membership of an element using different functions to decrease the effect of uncertainty. In this paper, intuitionistic fuzzy Z-numbers that are a new extension of fuzzy sets are proposed for the first time. First, fuzzy Z-numbers and intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are determined as preliminaries.

Ranking of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

2008 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (IEEE World Congress on Computational Intelligence), 2008
The notion of fuzzy subsets was introduced by L.A.Zadeh (1965) and it was generalised to intuitionistic fuzzy subsets by K.Atanassov [1]. After the invention of intuitionistic fuzzy subsets, many real life problems are studied accurately [7, 13, 14]. The measure of fuzziness was studied in [12, 16].

The logarithmic operational laws of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2017
Intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) is an extension of fuzzy set. The basic element of an IFS is the ordered pair called intuitionistic fuzzy number (IFN). So far, some basic operational laws of IFNs are defined, but not including the logarithmic operation. In this paper, a logarithmic operational law about IFNs is defined, in which the base

Notes on triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

International Journal of Mathematics in Operational Research, 2013
The notion of triangular fuzzy number is put forward on the basis of intuitionistic fuzzy sense. The basic algebra and some non-linear operations of triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TIFNs) are devised. The average ranking index is introduced to find out order relations between two TIFNs.

RANKING-INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY NUMBERS

International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2004
Intuitionistic fuzzy sets are a generalization of ordinary fuzzy sets which are characterized by a membership function and a non-membership function. In this paper we consider the problem of ranking a set of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. We adopt a statistical viewpoint and interpret each intuitionistic fuzzy number as an ensemble of ordinary fuzzy ...

A proposed shadowed intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

2015 Tenth International Conference on Computer Engineering & Systems (ICCES), 2015
The methods of constructing shadowed sets have been developed to conserve the amount of uncertainty for fuzzy sets. The shadowed sets designed by such methods usually maintain one type of uncertainty for fuzzy sets. Moreover, such techniques are considered inappropriate for higher types of fuzzy sets.

Ranking of trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

2012 12th International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications (ISDA), 2012
Techniques for ranking simple fuzzy numbers are abundant in nature. However, we lack effective methods for ranking intuitionistic fuzzy numbers(IFN). The aim of this paper is to introduce a new ranking procedure for trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy number(TRIFN). To serve the purpose, the value and ambiguity index of TRIFNs have been defined.

The orders of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers

Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2015
In many applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, comparing or ranking intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs) plays an important role. In this paper, the orders of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are discussed. The orders of IFNs have undesired mathematical properties. By using a special function, a new order of IFNs is proposed.
